Dear CRES Families,
June is here - may it bring more sunshine than May!
There’s a lot happening right up until the final school day on June 17th, so be sure to check the sidebar for all the important dates and details.
I also want to give returning families a heads-up about some staffing transitions for the fall. You may see a familiar face in a new grade or location. Here are the changes:
• Jennifer Baroody is moving to Grades 1/2 Multiage
• Shelby Chadwick is moving to Grade 1
• Meredith Constantine is moving to Grade 3
• Amber Kennedy is moving to Kindergarten
• Ali Babb is moving to Grade 2
• Emily Spindler will be heading to CRMS to teach Grade 5
Another update this year is all returning CRES students will learn who their next year’s homeroom teacher is when spring report cards are sent out. I know that waiting until mid-August can be stressful for many families and students, so I hope this earlier notification helps reduce some of that anxiety.
That said, please know that CRES staff invests a great deal of time and care into creating balanced, thoughtful classroom groupings. We ask that you approach the new year with an open mind as it's a wonderful opportunity for your child to make new friends and build relationships with a new teacher.
It has been a strong and positive year, and I’m incredibly grateful for the support of our CRES families. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who’ve generously shared their time and energy. Your involvement has been essential as we expand hands-on learning, residencies, and time outdoors. A special thank you as well to the CRSA for your continued partnership. Your efforts make a big difference in building community and you are an incredible asset to CRES!
As always, thank you for sharing your children with us. It’s a joy to watch them grow throughout the year. We’ll miss our departing 4th graders and know they’ll go on to do great things at CRMS.
Wishing you all a wonderful summer filled with good health and sunshine.
With gratitude,
Katie
